“American Diggers” on Spike TV Gets worse with every episode

I’m taking a bit of comfort that the American Diggers program that Spike TV decided air is so awful that people are likely just turning it off, minimizing its harm to our hobby.  Not only is Rick Savage annoying as hell, the production quality of the show is lower than I expected.  I’m watching it because I feel the need to know what people might say to me about it when I’m asking permissions, etc.

And the values they claim for the antiques are absurd.  In the last episode, Rick Savage carries in a few hundred bucks worth of artifacts and the antique dealer says “$5,000, my final offer.”   Pa-leeze.

Hah, indeed it was worse than I expected. If that junk was worth that much money I am extremely rich.

As an additional note, American Digger magazine, which is an excellent publication in my opinion, has dropped their ‘Savage Facts’ column and any association with Rick Savage and also point out the fact that they are in no way associated with the new tv series other than having similar names.
